07/13/2007:

Long time no update; we’ve been doing most of our updates on MySpace but not everyone has a Myspace account so we’ll try to keep the site updated a little more. As you can see from of events page we’ve got two shows next weekend. Friday we’ll playing The Distillery downtown with The Messies out of Los Angeles, heard their stuff online and it sounds like it will be yet another killer night of rock n’ roll. There should be another band on the bill that is yet TBD. On Saturday afternoon we’ll again be descending upon The Trap in South Sacramento. If you didn’t make it to the first show you’ll definitely want to make it this time around. The last time we didn’t know what to expect from this little bar off of Riverside Blvd, what we ended up with was one of the best shows we’ve played. It was like playing in your buddies’ backyard, with all your friends standing around looking at you while drinking heavily. Good times, good times. Also if you’ve taken any pictures at our shows please go to our photo page and upload them, who knows they may even make on the site. See ya,
TPI

Ok, we know it’s been a while since we’ve posted, so let’s play catch up for a minute.

Over the past two months or so we’ve been caught up with vacations, work issues, school and just plain life in general. Among other things that have been keeping us busy is working on and writing new songs. Since we spent so much time over that last half of 2006 working on our CD and mostly playing and rehearsing those songs we’ve been itching to work on some new material. Those of you who attended either of our last two shows may remember hearing a new song or two. Oh and another thing we’ve neglected is our CD, if you should want one of our CD’s please send us an e-mail and we’ll get one into your hands. $5.00 for nine songs, at about .56 cents a song I’d call that a deal. Now on to future business, we’re in the middle of plotting out the coming months and lining up a series of gigs that will keep all of you and us happy and content for the summer. We start off by announcing that we will be playing May 5th, yes that’s Cinco de Mayo at Woodstock’s Pizza in downtown Davis. We’ll be performing from 10pm to midnight, two hours of music from The Peabody Incident. This show will be an all ages affair with no cover. So why not make the trip into Davis for a Cinco de Peabody celebration. We should have some other things to announce soon, we’ll be sure to keep you informed as to our whereabouts. Stay tuned, more coming soon.

I know it’s been a while since we’ve updated the website so we’ll try to get all of you up to speed. Having just finished our busiest week as a band, The Peabody Incident is going to take a few days off to get some rest and most importantly get healthy.

Thursday night TPI returned to the site of our fist gig, downtown Sacramento’s The Distillery. It was a great night with another enthusiastic crowd whose energy fed the band throughout the entire night. Ray and Filz were under the weather but both managed to pull out a great show. Thanks to Jay Spooner for booking the band once again and also to Jim and the staff at The Distillery who run a great venue. We hope to book another gig at The Distillery sometime in March, as always check out our events page for updates and check our photos page for pictures from the show.

Saturday night TPI made their way to the Kennel Club behind the Doghouse Saloon. If you’ve never checked out this venue do yourself a favor and catch a show there. It’s a great room with probably the biggest stage you’ll find in the greater Sacramento area. Along with a great stage the club boasts one of the better sound systems in the region as well as a top notch soundman, John, who did a fantastic job making us sound like the rock stars we felt like on that big stage. This time around the sickness had moved on to Robb as well as Ray who was still feeling the effects of his illness. Determined not to let germ warfare ruin the show, TPI hit the stage and once again and let the energy of the crowd propel us to another fantastic performance. Thanks to the Kennel Club for making us feel welcome and for running such a great club.

Special thanks to all who came out for both of these shows, we hope to have more gigs booked soon so keep checking back, thx TPI.

2:01 am, it's late but I just wanted to thank every one for coming out and making our first show a true Rock -n- Roll event. We worked very hard to get to that point and your response made it all worth while. Thanks again, we'll be posting some pictures soon, who knows maybe a little video too.

12/02/2006:

This just in, the other bands on the bill with us are Jealous Makes Five, and Flesh Fly. Be sure to come out and help us celebrate our debut.

11/28/2006:

The Peabody Incident has taken yet another big step, today we booked our first gig. Make sure to look at the events page for all the details, not sure who we are playing with yet but that should be known soon. We also finally have a bio up for Ray, so take a look.

11/20/2006:

On Saturday we spent the afternoon mastering our CD. It's been a whirlwind trip, three weeks ago we were just getting started, now we're done. Not necessarily done, but as far as the music goes our self-titled debut CD is done. Now we are going to put our music on this website but for the interim we’ve posted three new tracks on myspace. These three songs are from the mastered sessions and will be on the CD. Now we are on to the duplication and printing process, hopefully we can get that done as quickly as we recorded and have a disc for all you in a few short weeks. It won’t be long before everyone will have access to all the songs, our goal is to get to as many ears as possible.

11/14/2006:

Today after a marathon mixdown session at Pus Cavern studios we put the finishing touches on our first CD. It took quite a while to get everything how we wanted it, but I think we’re all very happy with the finished product. Saturday we spend one last day mastering the tracks which is the final step in the recording process. Things are moving fast, I don’t want to say when we’ll have a disc ready but hopefully soon. Of course we’ll let you know as soon as we do.

11/07/2006:

We’ve updated our website, enjoy. We'll be pretty busy over the next couple of months so be sure to follow our adventures by clicking the news link. As always, stay tuned for more.

11/03/2006:

We spent our second night in the studio last night and once again we all think it went very well. Barring some unforeseen mishap, I finished recording all the guitars last night. We still need to do the vocals, backups and then mix it down, but all in all we are moving along very quickly. Filz played the part of Mr. Tambourine Man and put down a couple of tracks. Ray had a microphone shoot-out to determine which one sounds the best with his voice. More to come soon, we'll keep you posted.

10/29/2006:

We spent our first day in the studio yesterday and everything went very well. We finished recording all of our songs and had time to work on adding second guitars and fixing some things. All and all I think we have four songs that are pretty much complete with another 4 to go. We hope to completely done in the next two weeks. Stay tuned we'll have some pics up soon.

09/12/2006:

Just to keep everyone in the loop, we have been hard at work in our new studio. We hope to have a couple of new things for you soon. The current goal is to get into the studio by November, which could mean a full CD release soon after. Stay tuned we will keep you up to date.

07/31/2006:

The Peabody Incident has been hard at work rehearsing and writing material for our first CD. Look for the debut later this year.
